As per the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister cum Minister of Strategy and Finance (MOSF) Kim Dong-Yeon, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung worked and participated in the 30th anniversary of the Korea Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) on 5-8 September 2017 in Korea.

During his time in Korea, Minister Nguyen Chi Dung worked with South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung – Wha, leader of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance; representatives from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the Korea Trade Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and the Korea Export-Import Bank; Leaders of leading Korean corporations such as Samsung, LG, Hyundai Motor, SK, Lotte, POSCO, CJ, Hanwha, LH Corp, Shinhan Financial Group, Kumho, Hyosung … Concurrently, he also attended and presided over two seminar with leading Korean companies which are interested in doing business in Vietnam.

On behalf of the countries which receipted aid from ECDF of Korean Government, Minister Nguyen Chi Dung stated about Vietnam’s successful model in using aid capital effectively for economic development over the past 30 years and mentioned some solutions to improve efficiency in the upcoming time.

Minister Nguyen Chi Dung also discussed the breakthrough measures to promote economic-trade-trade cooperation, improve the effectiveness of the use of ODA and FDI. In addition, the Minister also listened to Korean business ideas on a number of issues related to improving the investment climate.

In addition, in meetings with Ministers, many Korean business leaders not only appreciated Vietnam’s investment environment but also affirmed that Vietnam is a strategic investment market and committed to continue to expand the production and business activities in Vietnam in the upcoming time; Promote exchanges, connections and support to assist Vietnamese enterprises to participate in the supply chain in the future.
